Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Opening and closing ceremonies
Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, · 2024 and 2025, · 2,000 drones per ceremony
2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Formula 1 storytelling met precisely coordinated laser sequences in the opening and closing drone shows, both designed for live broadcast. Dedicated calibration flights gave the laser team reference positions in the sky. Ayrton Senna's helmet and historic racing cars appeared through fast-paced choreography, with drones repositioning in darkness to reveal each scene without interrupting the momentum.

2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
A driver's journey through passion, rivalry, setbacks and preparation shaped the opening ceremony. Racing sequences shifted from wheel-to-wheel action to the cockpit, with animation and carefully timed transitions conveying speed for a global broadcast audience. The closing ceremony culminated in a towering driver raising the trophy, turning the victory gesture into the show's defining image.

Riyadh Street Circuit, Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, · 2024, · 2,000 drones
An aerial recreation of the Riyadh Street Circuit became a course for FPV drones during the opening ceremony. Formation design and choreography had to accommodate their flight through the circuit, while precisely timed pyrotechnic moments brought another dimension to the performance.

Amerigo Vespucci World Tour: The Return to Italy, Closing ceremony
Porto Antico, Genoa, Italy, · 2025, · 1,750 drones
Performed beside the real Amerigo Vespucci, the show traced the ship's world voyage through its motto and the passage from day to night at sea. A full-scale aerial recreation of the vessel emerged from a representation of the water, connecting the narrative with the ship below. Scale and staging shaped the reveal for both the harbour audience and live broadcast.

Longines Global Champions Tour Finals, Closing ceremony
King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, · 2025, · 800 drones
Riyadh's skyline became part of the drone compositions. Key sequences aligned formations with the surrounding architecture, requiring careful control of position, scale and perspective so the buildings and drones read as one image from the audience's viewpoint.

Parque Villa-Lobos, São Paulo, Brazil, · 2026, · 500 drones
Tomorrowland Brasil 2027: the official countdown has begun (opens in a new tab)
Developed with Alok's creative team, the opening and closing drone sequences were closely synchronised with his set. A circular audience enclosure, surrounded by structures over four metres high, created unusual sightline restrictions. Formation placement, scale and viewing angles were shaped around the experience from inside.

McDonald's Big Arch launch
Lungomare Caracciolo, Naples, Italy, · 2025, · 1,000 drones
A burger reveal became a continuous transformation: a box formed around the product, closed and reshaped into a fries carton. The challenge was to preserve McDonald's strict visual identity throughout the movement, keeping each product recognisable as the drones changed formation.

Celebrate 250, St. Louis, July 3rd and 4th drone shows, the 3rd designed for Zedd
Gateway Arch, St. Louis, United States, · 2026, · 1,500 drones per show
Two dates called for different approaches: a high-energy show synchronised with Zedd's live set on 3 July, followed by an extended Independence Day narrative. For the second show, two fleets of 750 drones performed a staggered handover, with one continuing as the other landed. Choreography concealed the changeover, extending the experience without a visible interruption through scenes including a drive along Route 66.

Dubai Shopping Festival, DSF Drone Show, 30th edition
Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, · 2024/25, · 1,000 drones
The Free Nightly Drone Show That's Bigger Than Disney's (opens in a new tab)
Two complete 20-minute shows brought distinct narratives to Dubai Shopping Festival's 30th edition. One celebrated three decades of the festival; the other explored Dubai's blend of tradition and modernity. Created for repeat performances above Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, they formed part of the twice-nightly programme across December and January.
This is the design layer at work.
